Wisdom of Meditation
Thursday 30 October – Sunday 2 November 2025
Participation at Shikhaa and Mayank’s yoga and meditation retreat settles the restless mind and releases the conflicted heart, so that we may uncover the inherent freedom we all seek.
Wisdom retreats offer a very simple technique of meditation and an empowering discovery of the wisdom tradition, Advaita Vedanta that opens higher states of consciousness.
Join this dynamic duo in Stade, Germany for an enriching 4-day exploration of satsang (wisdom teachings) meditation, Qigong, yoga, somatic movement and the joy of kirtan.
Shikhaa and Mayank lived with the enlightened sage in India for most of their adult lives, dedicated to meditation and a deep study of India’s wisdom tradition, Avaita Vedanta. Since 2016, they have been invited to Europe by those who have benefited greatly from her meditation guidance.
The wisdom of meditation unleashes the deeper insight into how we can understand ourselves, and thereby live in harmony with each other in a consciously expansive way.

Description of the classes:
*Satsang
Shikhaa inspires the great wisdom tradition Advaita Vedanta to come alive and be relevant to our current lives, addressing the question, “What is our purpose in life and how can we live in peace, love and freedom?”

*Mayank’s Somatic Movement
Gentle, restorative, therapeutic movement as Mayank teaches, restore flexibility, balance and coordination. Somatic Movement is simple, accessible movement flows ending in a deep relaxation period.
*Qigong with Mayank
Qigong is a form of simple, accessible movement flows. Qigong helps to cultivate good breathing, reduce stress & anxiety, and build fluid, flexible movement ability. This practice fills us with fresh energy, "qi", to invigorate, inspire and build strength and well-being.
*Meditation Mandala
At the close of the day, before dinner, we gather in a mandala (a circle) for follow up and reflection from the morning satsang. This time is also an opportunity for questions and discussion.
*Spirit of Kirtan
After dinner, we gather to sing ‘kirtan’, a call and response style of singing of simple Sanskrit mantras that is conducive for meditation and uplifts the spirit in a magical way. You do not need to be a singer to enjoy kirtan, for it is not a performance. Spirit of Kirtan is a joyous way of being together to tune in to the uniting power of sound.
